Call yourself a boozer? The yeast you can do is hop along to one of these.

We really are spoilt rotten in Greater Manchester.

We've got so many great restaurants and bars that just choosing where to go at the weekend can be a dizzying prospect riddled with FOMO.

Yet there are more, dear reader, there are always more. Here are another six places to hang up your beanie hat and put the world to rights after another week of graft. Whether your poison of choice is indie IPA, natural wine or er, craft mead, you should find something here to tap into.

2019 10 25 Overdraught Levenshulme

What: OverDraught MCR

Where: 855 Stockport Road, Levenshulme, M19 3PW

When: open now

Overdraught opened its doors on October 10th. The name is a cheeky nod to the fact that the bar is housed in what used to be the old TSB bank in Levy. It's owned by pint pundit Martha Winder, who also runs the popular First Draught in Prestwich. With over 30 rotating beers and ciders on tap, there's plenty for craft ale lovers to get stuck into with everything from Brooklyn lager to Beavertown's blood orange IPA . Cans include Tiny Rebel's quirky Stay Puft marshmallow stout and Jam Doughnut IPA. While the food offering is a work in progress, plans are afoot to add pizza, ice cream and cake to the mix.

2019 09 27 The Quick Brown Fox Cacti

What: The Quick Brown Fox

Where: 1-3 Swan Street, Manchester, M4 5JJ

When: open now

After a loooooong wait, you can now hunt this one down at the top of Oldham Street - the developing gateway between Ancoats and the NQ. With the team behind Alphabet Brewery and PLY involved in the project, there are 12 rotating beers from local and national breweries on tap as well as six tap cocktails including a white negroni and a transparent strawberry daiquiri. General Manager Daniel Smith, formerly of Kosmonaut and The Liars Club, has curated the cocktail menu. Alongside the taps there are another 20 bottles of wine that are seasonally selected in collaboration with acclaimed London wine bar and magazine, Noble Rot.

2019 10 25 Brewdog Punk Ipa Generic

What: Brewdog

Where: 20 Fountain St, Manchester M2 2AA

When: TBC

Scottish craft beer company and self-professed beer geeks Brewdog have had an impressive decade. They now run over 85 bars worldwide and last year they opened a hotel. Pretty good for a couple of lads who started brewing in Mum's garage. So it was a shocker when it was announced that the most profitable of all their bars worldwide - the one next to Rudy's on Peter Street here in Manchester - would be closing its doors.

But fear not, hop-hunters! It looks like they have already secured a new place in Manchester city centre in the site which was previously the short-lived pizza joint, Enzo, on Fountain Street. The three-storey site is just around the corner from the Confidentials office so we'll be keeping tabs on it for you.

2019 10 25 Project Halcyon Zymugorium

What: Project Halcyon

Where: Units 104, 105 & 106 Level 1, Bonded Warehouse, Lower Byrom Street, Manchester, M3 4AP

When: soon

This one's been on the cards for a little while and it looks like things are starting to come together. From the folks behind Zymugorium who claim to be Manchester's first craft distillery - and incidentally produce craft mead along with the more predictable gin and vodka - Project Halcyon is the first bar project from the drinks company.

Situated round the back of the MOSI building, there will be an olde world feel to the place which has everything from "mobster chic" to opulent cocktail bar pinned to its mood board. Expect a creative drinks menu made from top quality local liquor and a little bit of that ole black magic.

2019 10 25 Seven Bro7Hers Salford Middlewood Locks

What: Seven Bro7hers Beerhouse

Where: Middlewood Locks Salford M5 4GP

When: November

Five years after starting their brewery in Salford, Seven Bro7hers are now a household name in Greater Manchester - that family bond has served them well. Following on from the success of their popular beerhouse in Ancoats, that crafty septet of siblings are at it again. This time they're opening a new beerhouse in another up and coming residential area, Middlewood Locks in Salford. It's a prime spot for sure, with 2,215 new homes under construction there. That's a lot of potential sinners on the doorstep. Their social media channels have been abuzz lately with the construction of the new gaff taking shape so it looks like an opening date is imminent. Expect to fill your schooner with brews made from the likes of recycled Kelloggs cereal, watermelon and blood orange.

2019 10 25 Victoria Tap Beer List

What: Victoria Tap

Where: Victoria Station, Todd Street, Manchester

When: soon

Regular wearers of beer goggles will be familiar with the Piccadilly Tap. A train station pit-stop that lubes up commuters with quality ale before they attempt to slip themselves into an overcrowded carriage in the expensive exercise in personal-space invasion that is rush-hour rail travel. IPA scented belches just add to the sense of social bonding, don't you think?

Not to be outdone by its old pal, Piccadilly, Victoria station is getting in on the yeasty action as the same team are set to open the imaginatively named Victoria Tap - soon. Expect a great range of independent craft beers and other fermented friends followed by the usual whinging about prices from people who only drink Becks.
