Luxury boutique hotel Dakota Deluxe has an opening date

Dakota Deluxe Leeds - the hotly-anticipated luxury boutique hotel in the City Centre’s Bond Court - is nearing completion, and the owners have announced the opening date.

The fourth opening in the Dakota group, spearheaded by Malmaison founder Ken McCulloch, is set to be the jewel in the crown of the newly redeveloped Bond Court area just off Greek Street, which has seen a £25million investment in its rejuvenation by Leeds-based Evans Property Group.

McCulloch tasked the group’s creative team, headed by international award-winning designer Amanda Rosa, with designing a venue of which oozes timeless, elegant luxury, providing what they describe as old-world hospitality to discerning business and leisure guests. “The majority of time spend working away from home is always grudged, so we wanted to create a very special experience”, says Ken.

Dakota Deluxe’s 84 sophisticated suites and bedrooms are fully air conditioned and come complete with a smart TV and media hub featuring full Sky HD package and complimentary high-speed broadband, and contemporary en-suite bathrooms with monsoon showers and bespoke toiletries that might accidentally find their way into your luggage before check-out.

Ideally situated in the middle of one of Leeds’ fastest growing areas in terms of new leisure openings - with Manahatta opening in recent weeks, plus the likes of Neighbourhood and Tattu on their way - guests won’t be short of entertainment options nearby, and Dakota will be offering its own brasserie-style Bar & Grill at the heart of the hotel.

Bar & Grill will feature a classically-inspired menu of simple dishes with a focus on “style, substance, and finesse”, and a first-floor terrace overlooking Greek Street will be the home of Salon Pivé, an exclusive destination cocktail bar set to rival any of the city centre’s upmarket gin joints, with classic cocktails, champagnes, and an extensive wine list.
